Default WS Transmission Oil

I service my vehicle at a Toyota dealership because it's nearby (& cheaper). They advised that the transmission oil my 2006 IS250 AWD uses is 'WS' & never needs to be changed. Is this true? 'Cause I noticed that my Lexus maintainance schedule requires the transmission oil be changed (can't remember at what mileage).

Plz help?

Your dealer is correct.... and the US factory manual says the same thing. Not only is service not required, it's physically impossible to change more than 10-15% of the fluid in the system even if you drop the transmission pan entirely.

Nobody has ever come up with a good explaination why the Canadian manual lies about it.

Never needs to be changed. It's a sealed unit. No worries.
