Bro.....You won't be let down by this MONSTER! My magnet on my 12W7 is as big as a 15" woofer. Just get a quality amp please. Don't run cheap stuff to it. J Audio says it can run 1000W RMS (meaning ALL day long). 2000W max. I'm only running JL Audio's 750/1 to it am I'm more than pleased! I was waiting for JL Audio to release the 1200/1 but it came out 1 month after I completed my system

Yeah, the 100/1 is recommended by JL for the W7. It'll Slap for sure!!! I went with JL Audio's HD series which are digital and are smaller. I didn't want a huge amp and these are more efficient. Good luck with your build. MAke sure a box is built to proper specs if you're going custom.

 

What do u suggest, as for the mean time im just gonna throw it in just like that. No custom build for me for now like you did lol Out of my budget till i either 1 get another job or 2 get promoted to full time at my job.
Get a custom box built for the sub or what?
As far as cargo goes for me, i will hardly carry anything in the car so dont matter if it takes alot of space in the trunk

 

anybody know how the w7 compares to the alpine type x?

 

JL W7 with JL 500/1 in a custom wedge box. The box was 32 inches wide and the back of the GS350 is 31 inches wide. Box was trimmed and rewrapped to fit in the back of the trunk. Trimming the box did not effect sound quality.
