Is it totaled?
Oh how I long to be as correct as you...maybe in 20 years or so. Oh well until then I'm destined to turn to you for all the straight and true facts...what else will you be teaching us oh great one?
My next lesson tells you how not to be like Pnthrzrule, that is to say, don't be that individual that has nothing constructive to add to a thread. Don't be that individual that failed to assist the poster in answering his question in any way shape or form. But most importantly grasshoppers, don't be like Pnther in that the mere posted words of an indiviadual can make you take offense and break that carefully crafted persona.

They may write it off as totaled but from what i see and the fact that the bags didnt go off it does look fixable. I would fix it and keep it if i was you. I didnt read clearly but if you have a awd then i would make sure the front wheels were pushed back and the structure wasnt damaged. Get some more pics up. PArts for this car is pretty expensive so you may get a check but like i said it looks fixable . just my 2 cents.... If you do decide to fix throw on some CF
Wow that was a great lesson oh wise one...what other sage advice do you have for all of the people who are awaiting your every exact precise spot on teachings...oh and by the way do even know what the OP was asking? And did you answer the OP? No you didn't answer the OP...he was asking if it was totalled and you can't tell him that because you haven't evaluated the vehicle. You are more concerned with being right than actually helping the poster. However, I can't wait to see what other million% correct info you can give him...try telling him with 100% certainty that it IS or ISN'T totalled.
In addition, I have already listed what I need in order to provide an accurate answer to his question. Focus grasshopper focus!
Prior to your departure every morning please PM me for the sage advice your life is lacking. Fear not grasshopper, I will hold your hand and raise you as one of my own. I and only I am up to the challenge!
Is it a 250 or a 350? What year? How many miles does it have on it? What Package is it? These all play a big part in value. Also, the carrier will use aftermarket parts bringing repair cost down.
Just for fun say the vehicle is worth 20k. Lets use 70% as the T/L threshhold. That means this vehicle would total out if the damage meets or exceeds $14,000.

I appreciate all the response, though some of you went a little to far with it. Its a 2007 IS 250 with 60,xxx miles on it. Package wise I'm not sure, I can tell you that it doesn't have the gps but it does have xenon lights, oh 2wd by the way. How was the accident not my fault? Well, I was sitting at a red light when a lady tried to avoid a collision with a tow truck and decided to swerve, cut through the sidewalk and hit me. To better understand I was heading east-west and she was heading north-south.
Now,I would like the car to be totaled because it was already involved in a front collision which I had to pay for to get it fixed. A good 3 grand lost there and now two months later is back at the body shop. I doubt the car will ever be the same after this so that's why I came here to ask for opinions.
Someone mentioned to buy it from the insurance and sell it for parts. I personally think it will take a lot of time and effort for that but I've never done it. Is it worthwhile?
If the airbags had deployed it will help out with the car being totaled, should I consider poping the driver side airbag or is this a big no?
Thanks again guys.

Oh...grasshopper, I will not let you down in your hour of need. I will be the lighthouse in your dim life. I soley will take up the mantle to bring you forth into the light. My interjections were merely to keep the poster from receiving inaccurate information and to enlighten the erroneos posters of other possibilities that exist. So therefore my young grasshopper, while not answering his question, I assisted the poster by dispelling the incorrect information and illogical thought process that was being presented by a few members.

The car isn't hurt near as bad as it looks. If it's totaled, and I don't think it will be, it will because the price of parts made it too expensive to fix not because the damage is too severe. The notion that if a car has frame damage it's automatically totaled is nonsense. If it were true there wouldn't be any point in body shops having frame machines.
OP that would be considered insurance fraud and is a felony, dont do that sir
There is no way that is totaled and although the damage looks bad it is actually not at all, I have repaired much worse.
All of the damage looks to be cosmetic and you won't have any issues with the parts fitting right etc
If done properly the repair you will never be able to tell.

Well, I appreciate your help guys. One of you mentioned that Ill have the 2011 headlights and bumper, is that something that I can just request from the insurance or I just tell the body shop that those are the one I'm interested in?
Here's one more pic that shows a little more of the true damage.
