Got an updated from MoLexus via PM. Hope he doesn't mind me sharing

Checked out a used one with 88k miles going for $3,500 so I am trying to sell it as is right now. Overall though it far exceeded my expectations and I believe I got every penny out of it. I am looking to get into a IS-F in a few months. I swear by this car.
I'd be happy as hell walking away from my IS if it had 265k on the odometer before it finally gave out!

Look on car-part.com imo you shouldnt pay more then 1000.00 for a used transmission, and 400-600 to install it.

I don't know a whole lot about transmissions but he might be able to just replace the valve body servos without even pulling the tranny...

Wow that's an amazing milestone for your car!
Before I had my 2is, I had a 2006 Lexus gs300 an I got to 230,000 miles before losing it :'(
But I too am a future lifelong Lexus customer, Lexus has won me over.

From what I understand, you can't, its a sealed unit on the ISx50 unfortunately.

I just bought a 2006 IS250, and am planning my first oil change. Do you go to a dealer, any oil change location or do it yourself?

Saw something today that made me want to revive this thread to remind OGs and newbies how great our cars can be. 1997 Toyota Camry. Guy wouldn't sell it to us if we gave him $5000 for it

Said all he replaced was water pump twice and regular/normal maintenance.

I don't have that many miles, but I just got past 125K on my 07 IS250 RWD. The only mechanical parts replaced was a water pump and drive pulley tensioner, which I would qualify as a wear item. No carbon buildup issue, no other major issues to speak of (on my 3rd battery).

In fact my 2IS has been so reliable I can buy a 2nd car with the money I saved to buy another car when I figured this car would die (riiiiight about now knock on wood).
