Default Knock-Off Emblems?

Looking at changing out the badges / debadging my IS250... the AWD came off fine but I know some the "IS 250" and I assume the "LEXUS" have tabs to keep them aligned ... I'd rather have the emblems on than holes on my truck (snow + salt would destroy it)....

Are there any other options besides the $250+ new sets from sewell or ebay?

I know lots of people plastidip them - but I would prefer a little gloss to them, not such a matte plastidip look (and spraying that on the car itself scares the **** out of me)

I found these (which I like) but for $250 I can think of a lot of others things I would rather buy

any advice would be great,
THANKS!

Are your looking for black pearl? If not, the entire kit in chrome including emblem remover is selling for $100 from Sewell. You can also DIY without plasti dip

Take them off the car with a hair dryer and some fishing line. Prep them with paint promoter and paint them with whatever color you want. Then put them back on with 3m emblem tape.

I was going to do DIY and try and have another set in-case my usual F-up happens...

3m emblem tape.
Do auto-stores generally carry this?

I would rather buy from Sewell for an extra $9 + Emblem removal tool

^ I would just prefer to pay less than like $50 and have some.... which this DIY sounds pretty easy - they AWD came off really easy, so I assume the others will too.

Looks like this weekend will be emblems and trying to get the damn water out of my headlight/reseal
