I don't think it will be unbearable havin lower profile tires. 35 vs 30 series. The 19" rims I have now came with 30 series on the rear. I switched the tires to the proper size 255 35 19 and its more comfortable for sure. With 20's if you wanna keep the rolloing diameter the same as stock I believe (I could be wrong) that u need to run 30 series. However if u don't care about that run what ever u want lol

Miik350 - I 've been in the same boat for the last couple months.. Deciding if i want 19s or 20s.. Every time I see all these guys' cars.. i want 20s... haahaa... so far this is what i've come up with..

Kit = 20s
No Kit = 19s

So.. I'm thinking of getting 20s and then getting a kit.. so my rims may look alittle big until i get the kit.. but oh wells...

Anyone - Is it true that tires for 20s are actually cheaper than tires for 19s?

BTW - LOVING ALL THE CARS WITH 20s on this thread!!

I think 20" flow better on our 2nd IS than 19", but if you want the wheels with some lips on, you have to go with 20" otherwise the 19" rims with lips, it would look too small for me I like 20" rims, but make sure you save up some money and buy the good rims so later on you won't regret
PS: I have 20" rim with tires on and the weights is 1 lbs less than OEM stock

20's ATMFW!!!

I have to agree with the others. If you have a kit that hang more then the GFX kit then go for 20's it flow perfectly fine. I would only go with 19's if i had the GFX. tires for 20's are cheaper also compare to 19's. But also i like to fill in my wheel wall so reason why i also choose 20's!!

Or you can be like me and have the best of both world by having a step lip! =D 20in barrel and a 19in center face!! People always get confuse if its 20s or 19s

thx's for all the replies, but mostly for the pictures bc 20's are really starting to grow on me. What specs are you guys running with what size tires? The wheels I'm thinking about getting are 20x9+24 & 20x10.5+20. My current setup is 19x8.5/9.5+22. I currently have no rubbing (by myself) in the car. It took about 3 months to fully eliminate the rubbing tho, so I'm not up for another challenge anytime soon. Will I have issues with these specs?

Fender mods are rolled on all 4 corners, minor pull in the rear, and minor shave in the rear. Bumper tab on driver front minor shave as well.

This is exactly how I feel. I want me some sidewall! But its hard to justify that considering the fact that I live in socal

I'm thinking I might downsize now to extremely aggressive 18's. I want mad Lip with sidewall protection.

What do you guys think?

20's with 30 series is the way to go. You'll be depressed with 18's! It's not that bad of a ride. I'm slammed and I have 30 series and it rides just fine.

IMHO, 20's look too big on the 2is, however to each their own.

you are gonna deal with less rubber, therefore the ride might be much bouncier. 19's and some good coils= good to go!

btw... to the OP, what wheels are those? rotas?
