I've been wanting to upgrade my 2007 IS350's front grille insert to the F-Sport/IS-F style grille insert, with the mesh that matches the lower grille mesh. I understand Lexus makes an F-Sport grille insert for the '09+ IS, but not the '06-'08. I've found this knockoff on eBay, but it's pretty steep for a Chinese replica at $200:

This CL member installed it on his '06-'08 IS and I like it a lot, I just feel it's a bit expensive for a cheap replica:

Then I thought, could I just buy the 2008 IS-F grille insert? Sewell has it for $177 (here, or see below screenshot: http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...-ISF-2008.html), so only a bit less than the above replica, but at least it's real.

So does the 2008 IS-F grille insert fit in the '06-'08 2IS?

I have the aftermarket grille and it's far from cheap as far as quality and fitment is spot on.

Is the grille you guys both bought the one I've linked to above on eBay, and is it $200?

At a glance, it looks quite similar to the $200 one you linked. I've been mulling over it the past few days and thought I'd share.

Hey, thanks a lot for posting that. As far as I can tell, they look identical. Clearly I'm not going to buy one that costs $200 then if this ones for $100.

I have the one for 200. It fits perfect. I'd suspect the one for 100 is the same grille.

The 200 one is legit. It is the only known Lexus piece on my car. I'd say quality is oem for sure. Can't speak to the 100 one.
