id recommend some paint sealant to protect from bird poop and the sun, apply it regularly for fresh paint after washes

bird poop is nasty stuff. The uric acid in it will eat through anything on your car including sealant. Best to keep some quick detailer and MFs in your trunk to get it off as soon as possible.

Collinite 845 is a hybrid wax / sealant, should last 3 months easy. Two coats 1 day apart are all you need for winter prep.
