Default Vinyl wrapping emblem??

Is this possible?

I want to de-plastidip my front emblem, and white vinyl wrap it the same as my grille.

Is an emblem too flimsy to wrap?
Could you reheat the existing glue with a heatgun for reuse?

Also, i think im going to put white vinyl over my yellow vinyl fog covers, with a circle cut-out. opinions? it would basically look like a white fog light with a yellow circle.

quick Paint job....this is before i wrapped my grille surround. ...this is what i meant with the fogs, a white vinyl outline over the yellow aerotect overlays.

maybe if i double up on the white vinyl for the fogs, i could make it opaque enough the the light would only transmit through the circular cut-out.

theres always the possibility of painting the fog housing black...keep my yellow fog bulbs, and ditch the fog vinyl. that way, ill have a legit black and white setup.

is there any possible way i could unbolt and remove the entire fog housing through the wheel well????

I wonder if you can bake the foglights and then paint the inside housing white. It would be a much cleaner job IMO. If you do vinyls, the yellow light might leak out some where and it will end up looking tacky. Then just keep the circle yellow overlay.

im going to wrap the emblem tonight. if i use the heatgun excessively, i dont see how the vinyl wont mold around the finer contours of the emblem.

as for the fogs - it may not be doable based on the vinyl transparency. ill test it out. something tells me its going to look like shiet. i may just yank the yellow overlays entirely.

thanks guys. still the question begs to be asked: can you remove the fog light housing through the wheel well? if so, id just go ahead and paint the inside black. (probably one of the few things i could get away with the leased car).

done! loving it. sry, cell pics. as for the fogs, im going to open them up and paint them black. id like to paint them white, but i dont want to run into too much trouble when i return the car (leased).

it matches better in person...the high res shot at the top shows true color matching.

really happy with the results. its subtle, yet has a showcar feel. the old plastidipped emblem looked ghetto - as if someone had stolen the chrome emblem.
