so how do you know how much battery life is left in these things? Is there a pull tab or something that starts the battery life once you are ready for them or are they on from the date of manufacture. Anyone know the battery life expectancy on these things... waste of time and money if you ask me. I did just fine monitoring my tire pressures before these things came along

I have to assume it uses a standard lithium cell. No pull tab on the ones I purchased so cell life begins at the time of manufacture.
Typical life should be about 5 years plus or minus.
I saw a post or site showing how to replace the battery some time ago, so if any of mine fail that will be the first thing I try before buying another sensor.

Far as I know the battery on the TPMS is rated for 10 years (from manufacture date) and is not replacable
