Hey guys, i have a 2006 IS250 AWD with navigation + 6 disc cd changer. Im pretty sure i dont have the Mark Levinson because it doesnt have the logo anywhere at all. But how do you know if you have the premium sound or not? What exactly is "premium" sound?

 

its either ML or non ML...you dont have ML.

 

well im about to order a vaistech unit and during check out and tells you to specify which sound system you have. The options are:

Navigation + ML
Navigation + Lexus Premium Sound System
Lexus Premium Sound System with ASL and 6-disc CD changer
Other

 

if you have navigation then you have "navigation + lexus premium sound" since you do not have ML. It would say ML.

 

There are several ways to check:

1. If it has the ML logo, you have ML.
2. Pop open the center speaker channel. In the non-ML cars it'll just be empty space (some use this area as a hidden compartment).
3. Pop in a DVD and see if it'll play, only ML equipped cars have the OEM DVD Changer.
4. Check your VIN.
