What satisfied me most about this mod, was being able to clean that damn black plastic underneath the shifter. After years of crumbs and dust, it's finally clean...

The cf fabric is meant to be "dry carbon"... The simplest way i can describe it is this: If you clear it, it will go from "3D" to "2D."
Again... To OP, and everyone else... I don't recommend clear coating it, and neither do the people that sell them!
