When I first got the car I was intoxicated with the power. I was not used to driving a 300 HP+ vehicle. Accordingly, I got anywhere from 17-18 MPG.

5+ speeding tickets later (within a year), my driving style is a lot more mellow these days. Haven't had a speeding ticket in months, and I get about 21-22 MPG.

An E46 M3 pulled up beside me at night the other day (we're both first at the stoplight) and he was just itching to go. Light turns green, he goes WOT, realizes I didn't go, and slows down to my speed. He goes WOT again. Nope, not biting. I'm not a fan of racing on streets anymore.

I already flushed the "racing craze" out of my system a year ago.

Not to mention, I already had some "fun" with an E46 M3 long ago and posted about it here. I already know what the outcome looks like. From 0, it's virtually even up to about 100 MPH at which point the M3 will start pulling.

From a roll, same - it's even as long as you are sufficiently below 100. Once you pass 100, the M3 will start pulling, like this:

That's not my video, just one I found on youtube recently.

Mostly city driving here... 18 - 19 mpg. But, when I'm on the highway usually about 25 -26 mpg.

I tend to get around 17-21 around town depending on how spirited I drive. On the highway, I've noticed around 30mpg at around 70-75 and 28 around 80.

At one point, I was able to do 32mpg at swift highway speed but not sure what it was as there are so many variables.

I drive pretty hard more often than I do easy across a good mix of environments: city, hwy, and interstate, and I usually clock in around 24.
