Smile Just Picked Up My PreOwned 2010 IS 250 RWD

Greetings all,

I Just Picked Up My PreOwned 2010 IS 250 RWD. Everything on the car is currently stock. It's almost fully loaded...has everything, but the ML sound system and sport suspension. I plan to keep the look of the car fairly clean and simple. I had the dealer switch out the wheels for the graphite type (like the look better). Now I'm looking at doing a few mods.

Things I'm thinking about doing:

Cover Chrome Window & Grill Trim - Black Vinyl?

Debadge rear

Change out suspension for a tighter ride and a little lower - Adjustable Coilovers?

Mid Pipe Install

I'm curious what some of your thoughts are on some of these mods and if there are certain brands/types you'd recommend for things such as a mid-pipe and coilovers. Also, are there other things I should consider doing.

Been browsing the forum...but it's a bit hard to figure out what the best 'current' recommendation is for stuff like this.

Love the car so far.....

Clean, Nice car.. I agree get the painted match grill and throw some tint on it. A nice JUN replica roof spoiler would set it off and it'll look exacly like mine...

Also get some red vinyl to cover up the amber part on the tails, for some reason the amber on those tails look hideous on our obsidian black cars.

Welcome to CL. as far as dropping the Lex go with coilover there many brands find what you like in your budget. Midpipe everyone like invidia midpipe. But dropping the car first is a great start.

To Start if you debadge you will find holes in your trunk. Need to either fill them or recover with something else.
By the way Welcme to CL.

looks good, I wouldn't debadge unless you plan to spend some $$ getting holes filled and re-painted.

Beautiful car! But why the back-dated 2008 rims on a 2010?

F-Sport Rear sway bar. #1 mod you'll want.

I'd totally get a 350 as a weekend car if lexus offered it in stick.

Default Thank you All

Hello again and thank you all for the warm welcome and comments.

I suppose I could have been clearer on some things.

If I do the De-badging I will only remove the "IS" and "250" badges. Don't mind the lex logo and perhaps I can swap it for one of the gray/graphite looking ones.

I had the dealer switch out the rims for the older model because I liked the look better. I think the graphite looks really good on the car.

I'm located in LA and can do some of this work myself, but some things I'd like to have done at a shop (the coil-overs). Any LA people here have a recommendation for a good Lexus shop that's honest and fair?

Thanks again

Behind the s on IS there is a hole and behind the 5 on the 250 is another hole.
That is what we are talking about. Be ready to fill holes and repaint.

Ah....bummer. I guess I may just leave them on. Filling the holes and repainting seems like a bit much. Thanks for letting me know. Glad I didn't try to remove them yet.
