So I just get out of clinic all happy and jolly because my day has come to an end when I get to my car pull out of the parking lot and notice my navi is screwed up! Won't follow roads, just wonders off and i noticed that if i make a random loop on a road it won't even do that! I was "driving through rivers" and everything in between! WTF! I tried turning off the car and turning it back on and def doesn't do anything! My navi now says I'm somewhere about 15 miles from here!!!! Talking about going from a good day to a bad day! UGHH! Can anyone help me? I really don't wanna have to take it back to the dealership because that just consumes my time! Any help at all??

 

if its under warranty take it to the dealer..don't mess around with that unit, they can get pretty expensive...they can give a loaner for they have to take in the car...

 

Try disconnecting the battery to reset everything. If you do, make sure you check where the map location is. Ie us1, us2 etc..

 

There was a TSB for this on 2006 and 2007 Lexus vehicles...all they had to do was replace the NAV disc...checked for 2008 TSB on this for you and found nothing, sorry

Try checking your settings, make sure you are in the correct search area...I think you get to that by hitting DEST and pushing the map...

If you are under warranty, I would take it to the dealer and have them fix it...

 

Mine has done this before. Just leave it alone, try again in a few hours. That usually does the trick.

 

I actually ran into this problem a few weeks ago.
I was inside a parking garage when the map located me over 10 miles away

My car is out of warranty so I've been calibrating it manually

Other problems I found along with the Navi going nuts:
- Calendar is stuck at 12/30/2000
- Navi clock won't sync with satellites

Error codes I got:



I was able to clear the audio error codes, but the Navi errors return after a recheck...

Dealer says I may need a new Navi disc. $210 installed
