Smile So sorry...

I must apologize for the lack of participation in the near time. The reason for my negligence is due intirely because I have yet to purchase my lifetime dream to purchase my first Lexus. After owning 5 BMW's, I'm anxious ti give Lexus (is250) a try. While still in the research phase, my plan is to pull the trigger in 11 months to take advantage of year end model discounts.

Best wishes,

Duke

So far, they are the only manufacturer I know of with this attitude.

Welcome to the real world of auto repair.

Repair information is expensive as it always has been. Years ago we bought Mitchell manuals for all makes we worked on. Now days we purchase subscriptions to manufacturers service information sites or get the info thru Mitchell on Demand http://ondemand5.com/ or AllData http://www.alldata.com/

Each of these services cost the average professional repair shop about $175.00 per month.

AllData has a service where you can purchase a subscription for one vehicle for $26.95 per year. http://www.alldatadiy.com/ This info comes directly from the manufacturer and gets added to anytime there is a change from the factory. This includes all TSBs, repair procedures, diagrams, labor times, electrical diagrams.... basically everything a professional shop can get but you only pay for access for your vehicle.

The AllData service is a real bargain for all you get.
