I had a clear bra on my previous car. After about a year, I got tired of seeing that line so I removed it. However, like some people said, it's better to have it on to protect your car from chips since debris on the freeway can be unavoidable.

I am convinced after reading this thread. Go with either 3M or VentureShield, undecided at this point. Can someone recommend a good shop in LA to install it? Thanks.

I have a clear bra on mine now, first time I've done it to my car ^_^
The line isn't THAT visible really...if they cut it right, you won't even see most of the edges. The one I see is like this:
Barely noticeable
It's totally worth it, considering the 710 and 10 freeways here are brutal. This is what it looks like sometimes after commuting to work..ONE DAY.
With clear bra, it just wipes right off with no effort =] My only issue with it is that if I look reallllllllyy close, I can see stretch marks, which I've been told are unavoidable. (?) You'd have to be really, really OCD picky like I am though, to notice it.

For those of you who had your front bumper re-sprayed and then had the clear bra installed afterwards, during the 30 days or so that you waited to let the paint cure, did you drive regularly and pray that new rock chips didn't appear? Or did you not drive the car for a month ...

I hope someone will be willing to let me drive their car and/or take me to work everyday for a month! But if letting it sit for a month is what it takes, I'll have to work something out.

I'd say clear bra if you're planning to keep it for awhile. It is a great investment, as it'll protect against rock chips and minor scratches. I'm with Jenn in that the lines aren't that visible, and having a black ride, it'll be more noticeable if you really nitpick at it.
