Sorry to see that bro. At least the damage was only the wheel and suspension, and that no one was seriously hurt. Your car will get repaired and back to you before you know it. GL!

Thanks for the concern everyone

When I get to work tomorrow, I will take some pictures of the car in the air and the components that need to be replaced...I am a service guy, not a body guy, so this will be a learning experience for me as well...

its physics, remember now a 3,700lb car has alot of inertia so when it hits a curb alot will bend... AND~ im sure the body guy will pad the damage a bit to the insurance company

UPDATE:

Most of the parts have arrived, some parts getting painted, I am waiting to see it up on the lift...the force of impact actually broke the bracket off the rear cross member that the lower control arm bolts too, so now the control arm is just completely loose on one end (hence the slammed/crooked look)...the knuckle and bearing is getting replaced, control arms as well...

There is a bit of a silver lining to this...my body guys are going to fill in the front license plate holes for me (insurance is replacing the front splitters and repainting the front bumper anyway), completely new rear bumper, the entire rear cross member is getting new bushings, and I am getting 3 new wheels and 1 new tire as well...

Here are a couple pictures of it sitting in the body shop, will have to wait until after the holiday weekend to start the chassis work...I really miss my car

Good luck man.

I bet some people will love how your car looks, if you didn't mention it was an accident.

Looks like I'm not the only that noticed the Corvette. My bro-in-law has 2 (one heavily modded and the other one complete original [stock]).

***UPDATE #2***

Ok, finally got the car up in the air to have the chassis work done (all parts came in)...bumpers front and back are done being painted, so I am just waiting on the chassis tech to do his thing...here are a couple of pictures of the rear sub frame that took almost all the impact, you can see how the bracket that holds the control arm completely broke appart (also a pic of the new sub frame and parts that wouldn't upload )

Should have had the car almost done today, but the tech noticed that the little bracket that holds the brake line on the fender well was broken off...so that means waiting for the adjuster to come back out, but not only that, Toyota does not offer just the little bracket, you have to order almost the entire frame rails for just that part insane, big $$$ wasted by ordering that whole thing to just cut off a little bracket and welding it on...

Anyways...here are the pics of the sub frame...and another classic Vette to join the party...
