DIY burnt exhaust tip look
so i got bored of my chrome exhaust tips and they keep turning brown on me
so i bought a torch for 20 bucks and literally burnt the tips...ur exhaust has to be stainless steel or titanium for this to occur, just hold ur torch to ur tips and watch the colors change...and i recommend you take off ur exhaust when u do this, i didnt cuz i was lazy, btw im not responsible if u end up blowing up ur car or burning down ur house :P...anyways, what i love about this is the its completely reversible, the color change is just oxidation on the top layer
http://evoxclub.com/showthread.php?1...m-Exhaust-Tips!
and the other safer way is to use coke and some 9 volts

probably get bored of it soon too, oh well

Don't forget that if you do it by hand, make sure it's steady and don't go overboard. If you go beyond blue I think it turns purple/brownish yellow color.
On another note, i did this to my aftermarket 350z exhaust a few years back with the bernzomatic. Depending on the type of steel used will vary the results. I think my tips were of crap stainless steel so it came out the blue above but within a few weeks, it started to turn brown and eventually turned to ****.

Hooray for DIY mods??
Sidenote - I've personally never felt boredom to the extent of thinking "welp, I have nothing else to do.... why not take a torch to my car" lol
