Oh its 2014 now? ... I thought it was 2013. My brother totaled his car and recently got the check from the insurance company and was debating on getting a 2011 IS, but I told him if he wanted one that he might as well wait for the newer one.

BMW doesn't even bat an eyelid over those standards. They'll be fine with paying whatever small fine that comes with not meeting CAFE standards by 2015.
They know they're not going to meet those standards by 2015 and they don't care. Why should they? It's not like it's against the law to "break" CAFE standards.
I see a lot of hoopla over CAFE standards as though they are going to destroy sports cars of the future. That simply isn't the case at all.
