Realistically it's not worth it. Unless it's not your dd and u have another ride and keep it with low miles. Your not gonna get your moneys worth, especially with the money you already spent with the is350. IMO

Completely not worth it. I have a 250 awd and it's more than enough. Quite frankly even if I had a 350, it'd be extra power that I'd never use. Sure I like to go rev-happy every now and then but honestly the most I accelerate, the more I end up braking. Especially around where I live where all you run into are stop signs, single lane roads with idiot drivers, red lights that you can never avoid and more idiot drivers that brake for absolutely NO reason on a COMPLETELY open straight road. Yeah just saying.

And you might want to look past the cost of $15000. Factor in the cost of remodding the vehicle (chances are they're more expensive parts), the cost of interest on the $15000 loan if you do that (don't know if you will or not), the cost of the increased insurance, the cost of the extra gas (not huge but enough of a difference), the increased cost of regular maintenance (brake pads and rotors I believe are more expensive in an F and the tires!). Yeah you're looking at way more than $15000. Try to look at it past the initial cost but factor in the lifetime cost of the vehicle. If you're even slightly hesitant about the initial cost, you really shouldn't do it. I'd rather apply that $15000 to other things like active loans or future investments.

DO it. You won't regret it.

When I first got my IS350 I was like yeah, this is way enough HP for me. 3 years later.. this is way too little I need something more powerful..

((GTR))

A car can never be fast enough. You always want something faster.

From a woman's point of view....and then some.

Hmmm.....$15,000.....what could you do with $15k.....

1. Do some really nice backyard landscaping
2. Remodel that bathroom
3. New kitchen cabinets and counters
4. Hardwood flooring
5. New roof with those fancy schmancy gutters
6. Extending the cement pad to make a bigger driveway and walkway
7. Turn that garage into a mancave with fancy new tools and custom workbench
8. Daughter's wedding dress, cake. flowers, your tux, your wife's dress and music.
9. Payoff your future son-in-law to NOT marry your daughter.
10. Exotic getaway including pina coladas... and getting caught in the rain.

Look for SGM ISF, there is a chance she might not notice it's a different car. :P

If your going to spend that kind of $ for a car I would want to make sure it has a 0-60 speed somewhere in the mid 3s... I would say go for the LFA but that thing costs around $400k. I would hold off and go for the gtr which has a 0-60 better than the is f and the LFA.

+1 on waiting for the GT-R, but the GT-R most certainly does not have a better 0 to 60 than the LFA.

The LFA is rated 0 to 60 in low 3s (3.2 seconds).

At best, the GTR ties the LFA in 0 to 60. It's certainly not faster when you take into account launch control. You can't go by that one motortrend drag race video where the GT-R gets off the line quicker. That LFA was not equipped with launch control.

Nissan GTR 0-60 w/0 launch control 3.8: 0-60 with launch control around 3.2 top speed around 193mph
Lexus LFA 0-60 3.6 top speed about 202mph

I would get the GTR and save $300K lol

Since you've already modded your 350 I'd keep it and wait for the 3rd gen IS-F. Hopefully they'll have a coupe by then too. Not hating on the F by any means because it's an amazing car, but I don't think it's worth the extra money (which, as others are saying, will be compounded by interest, higher depreciation and more expensive parts should you choose to mod it) for just a little more speed that you'd probably never use. But do what makes you happy.
