I was debating between a 350 and F a few months back and ended up going with the 350. I plan to keep that for a few years and then upgrade to something else. I didn't think the F was worth the extra $$$

I was gonna upgrade to an IS-F but now that i am done killn my IS350 on the track & rather not beat up an F on the track i am just gonna stick with the 350 & build a track car that would kill a F. Do I want an F yes but i want lots of things. I just don't need an F. Hookers on the other hand you can drive them one time only then go back & do another test drive with a new model every time. I 'd say stay with an 350 & do a lot of other test drives haha

If you have the money to keep a roof over your families head, food on the table, and diapers on your babies but, along with a expensive purse and shoes for your wife. Do it.

Do you routinely drive/accelerate hard above 70 MPH? What's your daily drive like?
The F really shines at higher speeds. As a matter of fact, it is also faster than the IS350 down low, but not by as much as you might initially think.
Point is, if your daily drive involves lots of city traffic, you're probably not going to feel much of a difference. If you're going to upgrade, upgrade to something that is noticeably faster at all speeds, not just up top. Something like the GTR or some kind of higher end porsche.
If your daily drive involves mostly highway miles that gives you the opportunity to potentially push the car above 85 MPH+ (periodically), then you're going to notice an enormous difference with the ISF, no doubt.
Here watch this video, it'll give you a sense of how capable the IS350 compared to the ISF down low -

I think it's a pretty fair video to cite, the ISF gets consistent mid to high 12s, the IS350 gets consistent low to mid 13s. By the way the IS350 is on street tires while the F is on drag radials. Give some drag radials to the IS350 and the matches would be even closer.
I say be happy with a car that can get so damned close to the F up to 100 MPH, save your money for now, and purchase a used GTR in a couple of years.

you can get an 08 ISF for <40k. 09 GTR's are going for 65k+. I dont see how people are comparing the 2 like they're both in the same or even close price range. It's a 25k+ difference, basically the price of a used is350, lol

If you had to choose from the ISF/M3/C63/RS4 class, I would go with the C63AMG. It's the fastest in a straight line of the bunch. 150 HP upgrade from the IS350. People have clocked 0 to 60 a full second faster (3.9 for the C63 AMG whereas the IS350 gets it in 4.9 on average)
Then again the ISF is no slouch down low either, 0 to 60 in 4.1-4.3, but it's definitely slightly slower than the C63AMG and the prices (used) are probably comparable.
