(it's for 2011, but nothing should've changed as far as scheduled maintenance)
But 45k isn't major at all (nothing really is major till 60k)... Honestly beyond oil changes the only thing you should ever need a mechanic to do (as far as scheduled service) is:
Change brake fluid every 30k (so 30,60,90, etc)
Change spark plugs every 60k (so 60, 120, etc)
Change coolant every 100k.
That's it.
Only thing else is the air and cabin filters which you can do yourself in 5 minutes.... manual calls to check/clean the cabin filter every 15k, replace every 30... (air filter is replace every 30)
So anyway, nothing to do at 45k but an oil change, and check/clean the cabin filter (which again, do that yourself, 5 minutes, doesn't even need tools)
(oh, and if your car is AWD, you'd also rotate tires at 45k, just as you do every 5k)
Well said Kurtz, couldn't have said it better myself. Only thing you're looking at with 45K miles is a simple oil change. Doing it yourself or at your local mechanic might save you some $$$.
