Dirt does not stick to it if applied correctly and it's had enough time to dry properly. I have my stockies plastidipped and they have held up to dirt and a pressure washer just fine. No peeling or anything. It peels off wheels very easily, provided you actually took the time to mask it properly and gave it AT LEAST 6 hours to try. Painting of any kind isn't something you can rush. Do not drive on them for at least 24 hours.
yup, my emblems are plasti-dipped. i THINK i might be able to get away with leaving the wheels. just wanted to see if anyone did it themselves.

i dont have multiple jacks, and i dont have a driveway. so sitting with the car for 12 coats (3 per wheel) would suck.

it shouldnt be hard to cover up the brakes and rotors on a 250...maybe i could leave the wheels on and do 5 or so mist coats to avoid running? when i sprayed my emblems i wasnt nearly at the point of possible running...

The brakes aren't the problem. Any dip you get on the brakes with either be scraped off the first time you apply your brakes or will burn off over time from the heat of your calipers. What you will have is brutal looking overspray on the inner rim of your wheel. Just do one at a time. As versatile as plastidip is on emblems, you will see texture problems on larger projects. Let us know how it goes either way. I had a run in one of mine, and I thought I was being careful too.

I'm not trying to hate or anything, I'm just reiterating that paint isn't a job for the impatient (AMHIK). Ask around at some people in your area, one of them will have a set of jackstands you can use for a day.
