authentic 100 dollar grills for our cars is unheard of. LOL let me know how it goes, if its chrome its gonna chip if its a whack paint job. (from what my paint guy told me when doin my chrome surround)

 

i say if the fitment is good to wrap it with vinyl and it will look sick

 

think plasticoat will be as good as vinyl?

 

I bought an LX Mode chrome grille and had it sanded and painted by my body shop and it turned out really nice. Don't think for $100 it's legit.

 

yeah i know its fake now. was high at time of purchase. no more flames please. im gonna wrap it or paint it and install it. if it fits ill keep it. if not. lesson learned.

 

Since you purchased already, opinions don't really matter, just try to make it work. Keep us posted.

Yea keep us posted on how it turns out and how the fitment is. Definitely wrap in vinyl. Im not familiar with plasticoat so i cant judge it but i have heard if u apply too much to a certain area it will leave it wont level out as much cuz it goes on thick.

 

Nice find I am really interested to see how it will look when you receive it and its fitment, I want one.

its coming in on monday. Im on the east coast and it shipped from cali. I need to either A. find someone to wrap it or B. have the body shop I go to sand and paint it. so i wont have pics til later in the week. I will be sure to post the results.

 

I was going to wait to have it painted and install but I'll chime in. I bought it from the same dealer I think, for $109 plus tax. It came in the official LX-Mode white box with the name on it. It was stamped LX-Mode on the grill and It even fitted perfect. Now its at the shop with my surround to be colored match. If you want pictures of the box and grill I will take pictures when its done. The shop has the box too.
