Default What to request for first free service?

so i'm bringing my car in for the first service at 1500km tomorrow.
i'd like to know what i should request them to do as i've heard ppl cram every request into this service because its free?

i'm thinking of having them turn off my DRLs.. but then i don't have any other lights on my car that will be on in the morning so i'm thinking to leave the DRLs on since they'll turn off at night when my HIDs come on anyways

thanks!

Check the Lexus Personalized Setting listings. I had my DRL's turned off, changed the delay timer on some lights (puddles stay on longer, for instance) and had my remote window roll down tilt my sunroof instead of rolling it back.

puddle lights staying on longer is definitely one thing we LED lovers want!

but then turning off DRLs would mean during the day time no lights will be on right?
(ofcourse unless i do the fog lights on mod?)

btw brociouz, i asked the dealer and they said the puddle lights can only be on for 30 secs
that's the standard and there's no option to change the time for being longer

on the other hand they changed my headlights to stay on for 90 seconds instead of 30 seconds standard......

hmmm

^ You could always turn on your lowbeams or even parking lights manually. If DRL's mean that much to you, maybe you should just convert them to LEDs and lose your high beams.

This thead is win, I'm actually going in for my first service soon too. I'm probably gonna do the window tilt, I think I'm gonna keep my DRL's on though. I hate the yellow but I love my high beams.. decisions decisions

yes that's right, but you could always just turn on your parking lights.

to me the beauty of turning off something that's auto, it's that i'm the one in control, i turn on what lights i want not the car.
plus DRL when parked at night and car running would be horrible for house windows

thanks guys!

haha i don't mind the DRLs in the day
the thing i mind is that i'll have yellow halogens on with my HIDs at night
but that doesn't happen does it? at night when low beams are on, there are never DRLs at night other than when you turn the high beam on right?

Turning your DRL's off does not mean losing your high beam, it still works just fine.

To add to what Bryan is saying...

You lose your high beams when you swap the DRL bulbs to LED.

sooooooooooo..

DRLs are never on at night right? (unless you turn on high beams)
the only thing i'm worried about is having the DRL on when my HID lows are on too
if i'm not mistaken.. as soon as low beams turn on, DRLs turn off regardless of night and day time?

No, your DRL's wouldn't be on at night. They only come on in auto mode during the day - when in auto mode your lowbeams automatically come on at night (assuming your ambient light sensor is working). The DRLs are NEVER on at the same time as your HID low beams, it's either or.

thanks man!
i ended up asking them to turn my DRLs off!

but that's a good thing to know tho that DRLs are never on with low beams~ that means you'll never have HIDs mixed with yellow lights~ (that's if you changed to LED parking lights)
