yes definitely agree, i'm e46fanatics for ages, when e90 came out lots migrated if they upgraded the cars, sponsors/tuners/parts makers are all the same though, so that means lots and lots of mods options for both ext/int and performance/suspension, lots of DIY with good pix, lots of wrenchers, lots of support. not to mention realoem.com which is like a bible imo ;p every car manufacturer should have a site like that.
looking for parts on toyota/lexus it's a major pita with their vin requests specially when you want to mix and match stuff. always have to look up cars for sale and steal their vin's for parts requests lol.

It is unfortunate that the IS is really only modded for the bling factor. Like you said e90 post has contless support for real mods, and sadly the only kind of mods you see around here are, wheels, body kits, interior lighting, and paint jobs. Once again all bling factor, all show no go. It's funny because I know some people that hit the track in their IS's and people there are surprised because they're not used to seeing Lexus cars out on the track. I can't even begin to count how many F's are actually tracked and not just bling'd out. Sad story of how a real performance Lexus was brought to it's knees here in the states by bling.
Who knows maybe someday that bling factor might be balanced out by people who come out & put the car to good use.
I mean seriously Lexus didn't go out of it's way to release the F-Sport line of upgrades so the car sits prettier. They put everything through track use to make the car more applicable to that environment. Even their latest commercial shows what they're going for when they talk F Line of vehicles.
I find it rather sad when I see Lexus trying to break out of its shell and become part of that race inspired performance sector, only to be shunned down by bling and parking lots. Way to represent... I see it as more of an insult to what the bran is trying to achieve.
