IS350 curb weight... If anyone's interested
Stopped by the mulch/gravel place to get a price on some dirt and I happened to park on the scale.
2007 Is350 sport with spare, stock wheels, stock sound system, with a wrench set, heavy *** baby seat, 4-5 text books, and some shoes, jeans and 2 sweatshirts came out to 3680 lbs. That's without me in it obviously. I had about 1/2 tank of gas too.
I searched quick to see if anyone has ever posted up the weight of the car and didn't see any threads about it. if anyone is interested in seeing what the car weighs without most of that crap in it, I'm gonna clean it out one of these days and I can always swing by and weigh it again.

thanks,
Now, what would have actually been useful would have been a front axle weight, a rear axle weight, a right and a left side weight.
Then we would have info to help tune the suspension...

Well the baby seat, wrench set, books, etc probably added about 50lbs or so total. If you had about half a tank of gas, the tank of gas would weigh about 53lbs or so (IS tank is 17.2 gallons, half is 8.6. Average gasoline weighs about 6.15lbs or so give or take per gallon. 8.6 x 6.15 = 52.89lbs). That;s about right.

So I stopped by a roadside scale yesterday with this post in mind...
Turns out is was an older analog unit instead of digital with 50lb increments on the dial, so accuracy is probably plus or minus 25 lbs ...Grrrrr
Anyhow empty trunk and cabin, full tank less 2 gallons
1850 lbs front
1750 lbs rear
When I get a chance I'll hammer out the CG location and post unless someone wants to do it ahead of me...

Five years later... if anyone is still searching for this thread, I put my car up on scales today. I didn't have the hardware to make sure they were balanced though.
At 3/4 tank without the spare, junk mostly emptied out, with ML/nav premium package, 18" wheels, PCS/ACC system, etc etc fully loaded, I had:
FL: 975
FR: 915
RL: 807
RR: 822
Giving us 3519 at 54% front 46% rear. Obviously, my car runs on helium. It read 3563 with the spare and tools.
