Hey guys, im looking to make my 2007 IS250 quicker. I know most people buy it mostly for looks but im trying to get some speed out of it. What do you guys suggest to get some more horsepower and acceleration? Im on a budget so i just need some suggestions from all of you out there.

Well, you won't like the standard answer to this, but there really isn't a good way to increase horsepower and acceleration for your 250. If you did want to squeeze a few more hp out of your 250, you could do 1) intake, 2) exhaust and 3) header's. That being said, you'd get few probably less than 10 WHP combined from the intake and exhaust for roughly ~$1,300 for an F-Sport exhaust and a JoeZ intake. Not sure about the numbers from the header's though, but those run ~$3k I believe. Since you mention a budget though, I'm pretty sure $5k with of installed parts for not even close to 50hp would be economical.

You'd be better off trading your 250 in for a 350 for 100 more hp, but that's even more expensive.

Your best bet is full exhaust (20hp) and intake (5hp) price range PPE headers (600) Midpipe (Invidia 350) F-sport (1000) and intake (300)

25hp = $2250

prices arent exact but close. Best bet is to get it used from a CL member when they decide to sell.

What made you decided to get a 250 over a 350 in the first place? Did you test drive both before buying? You'll probably spend as much, if not, more, in mods than it would have cost to get a 350 in the first place, just to make it go a smidge faster
