Color Choices: Painting My Car! CL INPUT NEEDED PLEEASE!
#18
Alright guys, I'm back for more help. I need to decide by tomorrow. I'm painting my car athlete silver. I'm going to keep the roof and roof spoiler black. Now my question is, do you think I should color match my headlight Housing athlete silver, leave them chrome(after all its still a Lexus), or paint them black? If I color match or paint them black, my grill surround and emblems will become black pearl, and I'll be leaving the LC818's black. Or if I leave the headlight housing chrome, I will leave my grill surround and emblems chrome and paint the Lc818's black chrome.

If you need the paint code its KV2. I was going to paint my widebody SC400 this color... but then again I was gonna drop a huge turbo LS2 in it and attempt to be the first lexus to do wheelies. Im glad you like the color hah! You better send me some pictures of that thing when its done.
I personally would leave the headlights alone. If you improperly seal them you will have moisture filled paint matched headlight housings that just look bunk. I would leave them chrome for now. You can always go back and paint the lights later on if you chose to. I would paint match the grill surround to the color of the car and leave the emblems black.

Say I leave the headlights chrome. What route would you go with the grill surround, emblems, and wheels in terms of color?
(my ideal setup would be, color match headlight housing, black pearl grill surround, emblems, and wheels in satin black.) (but come to think of it, that might be over kill.)

I've decided Athlete Silver with black roof and roof spoiler. After tons of searching I've decided to color match grill surround, and leave my headlight and fog housing chrome, along with all the emblems. I don't know if what color wheels tho. Should I leave them satin black?
I've done a lot of searching on black chrome, and it looks 99% like regular chrome. I'm beginning to slowly part from the BC idea.
What do you guys think?
Main issue now: WHAT COLOR WHEELS.
