Default Lock ISX50 while running?

I have an IS350 and love the keyless feature.

When I took my infiniti in to the dealer a year ago, they gave me a new loaner which had the same keyless go feature. I was able to park the car, get out and lock it while running.

The lexus doesn't seem to allow me to do that.

I live in arizona where the temps are in the 110s and I have to run into business's for a short period of time. Even turning my car off for 5 minutes and it will turn into an oven.

Any word on being able to lock the car while it runs?

You could manually lock it by removing the key insert from the fob. The key hole is located underneath the driver's door handle.

We've seen this discussion topic before. I think the only conclusion was to do it manually...

The car can tell the key is in the trunk, and probably won't lock. You could try it though.
