Default Kayak Rack

I've been searching through the bike rack/roof rack threads but didn't find any information about anyone ever carrying a kayak on their IS..

I'm looking for an inexpensive solution to carry my kayak less than 10 miles- so I really don't need anything top of the line. Something that is easily removable and doesn't need to be bolted to the car would also be a plus.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

Whether you carry it 10 miles or 5 miles its not going to matter. Look into Thule, Yakima, Saris racks. They are very good and wont scratch your car.

unless you put some blocks of foam on your roof and put rope through your windows, you dont really have an option.

You're driving a lexus...nothing for it is inexpensive.

I put thule aero bars on because they look the nicest. I got them all 20% off at Eastern Mountain Sports 2 years ago and it was about $800 for the mounts, bars, wind deflector, and bike racks.
