alright bro here is a couple pix of the bracket i used and mounting.

you can see the back strap i bolted to the 10mm bolt on the vertical bracket. I had to widen the hole on the strap to fit the bolt, it was easy with a unibit.

this pic you can see the rail at the bottom where its mounted

is it sits right now, yeah i could modify this some more to make it sit back a bit more, another day. im just glad i got it in the spot i wanted and its working fine without being rubbed off from under my bumper when i lower my car.

This is what come in the kit



That pretty much it. 2 remotes wires, loom, zip ties, screws, bolts, instructions. its a really simple install unless you want to make it mount better than under the bumper as the instructions show.

I tried on the freeway going 70MPH and I wasn't sure if I held it down long enough but it was half way up when I stopped. Not sure if the wind speed kept it from coming up. It's not made of steel so it's somewhat flimsy but it looks sick and people love it when I show it to them.
I dont know if this was intended as common knowledge comment or youre trying to knock me. I DID modify the mess out of my grill to make the rail fit and mount to the bumper properly, the only thing i did not modify is the vertical support to make the rail sit back further. of course mine sticks out more than yours, youre flush! that means yours shouldnt stick out at all, right? Im actually really curious what you and the dude who started this thread did to modify the support. The first time i tried this on my 2010 i ran into this problem so i took out the support. I figured it wasnt necessary since the hood latch isnt attached to it. When i tried to close my hood, to my surprise the hood wouldnt latch. apparently the core support flexes so that support is necessary in place. Since a DIY was never written up we/I have to try this on our own. Wait, do you know how it was done anyways? Didnt you have someone do yours for you?

I wasn't knocking you. You misunderstood. MrBBQ has PM'd me several times asking about it and my response was directed towards him. My shop did the work but my installer had told me he modified the vertical support. Well.....Glad you got it in!

Wow I use to live in new york i still claim it on my taxes but here in FL we don't need a front plate.

10lexISR6, thanks man! These pics were exactly what I was looking for, clearance against the vertical support bracket. I would suppose cutting off a portion at this marked spot would allow the rail motor to slide back more. You made me interested in this again haha. Placing order soon...
