what's your average MPG?
i think what he means is that the cars' differences are not immediately obvious... you shouldn't be getting so defensive. the internals might be different but all the aesthetics are the same.. so to say that the IS-F and the is350 are the same is so far from what he was trying to say....
can you point out the exterior differences between the is250 & is350 for me?
can you point out the exterior differences between the is250 & is350 for me?You're missing my point. The cars aren't even close to identical in so many ways it's hard to count. Different engine, transmission, differential, brakes, springs, shocks, swaybars - everything that counts for performance IS different.
As stated above, I would never have bought an IS250. My Scion tC would give it a good run for the money in just about every way, AND the tC has a bigger back seat. I already had two tCs and I sure wasn't going to buy a Lexus that couldn't out perform one. I also saw the fuel economy on the 350 as acceptable for what I wanted, and even competitive with my manual tC for highway mileage. So, like it or not, I wouldn't ever consider buying the IS250 - if I wanted economy, I'd keep the tC or look at Corolla or Yaris. If I wanted decent speed, there was no other choice - the IS350 is the best of all possibilities for what I wanted/needed.
It's not "hate." I can link you to websites that hate. It's a statement of preference. Function over form, not form over function.

nicely said.
I just look at the front brakes. The is250 got some mini brakes and the is350 got some big and huge ones.
