Not new to this Forum, but more a reader then a poster, but Having some issues with my 2008 IS350. Could use some input. Think a trip to the dealer is in order, but wanted to know if anyone else has had these problems.

1. It's happened only 2 times, but when I'm shifting from PARK to Sport Drive ( yes I use the Tranny in Sport Mode ) the car remains in Neutral. I have to shift back in DRIVE and then back into SPORT for the car to realize this.

2. This has happened to me only once, but it was freaky. I pushed the start button as I normally would, but instead of starting, the starter just kept turning over and didn't start the car. Had to Push the Start button and restart for car to start.

Has anyone had any of these 2 issues. I already made an appointment with my dealer, but helps to drive home the issue if I know other have had problems ( I have one of those BAD dealers, they argue about everything and love to **** you off ).

I had a similar scenario to your #2, I assumed I let my foot off the brake while the car was igniting.
when I encounter a service consultant who isn't very friendly/helpful I kindly ask for someone else. it's no big deal.
let us know if they find anything wrong with your lexus.

 

Yeah #2 you let your foot off too soon. I have a habit of doing that.

 

#2 happened to me as well, was kinda scared thinking something was wrong with my motor.
