Stuck halfway through
I'm replacing the Aux line condenser unit that was installed 2 years ago to fix the whining noise that so many of us have heard when something is plugged into the aux input and a power source. We started getting the whining noise again and I'm out of warranty and refuse to pay shop charges.
I've got the automatic shift cover removed as well as the trim pieces that go over the ashtray and I've removed the 2 visible 10mm bolts in the front of the felt armrest compartment and the wire to the led light for same compartment.
How is the armrest cushion removed? I figured this thing should just lift out now, but no luck there and I don't want to break anything. I need to get directly below the felt armrest compartment where the cig lighter and the aux input are located. The old condenser is there and it's a straight unplug at that point.
Do I need to get at something where the rear-seat vents are?
Help!
