Default Time for a new windshield again :(

Just got another crack on my windshield today from a damn rock on the freeway It's been 7 months since the last time I had the windshield replaced and now I'm going on replacement #2 in less than 2 years since I purchased this car I feel as if this car has been cursed or too many haters out there because I've had more bad luck with this car in less than 2 years then I had throughout the 6 years I had my Matrix previous to purchasing this car. In the Matrix not once did I ever have to replace a windshield.

My list of bad luck incidents with the IS:

1. Headliner replaced because it was coming apart (2 months after purchase)
2. Replaced plastic behind drivers front seat because dealer scratched it when replacing headliner
3. replaced rear bumper after getting rear ended by a senile old man in a Pilot at a red light (5 months after purchase)
4. Replaced windshield (1 year after purchase)
5. Need a new windshield again (1 year 7 months after purchase)

Man I'm seriously considering trading this car in for a whole different car because I'm truly feeling very unlucky with this car right now

Sorry to hear, but some things are just unavoidable.

If you cant get OEM replacement from insurance, try and get PPG... I had my winshield replaced with PPG and its just like OEM. It has low/no wind noise, repels water, and has no distortions.

Good luck man

I'm going OEM since my deductible is only $100

My first replacement was also OEM for a grand total of $1400 which I paid for but got reimbursed minus $100

Sweet!

I wasnt as lucky... My deductible is $500... so AAA told me to go to safelight... lol. I told them I want OEM but they refused since I could get OEM quality glass for lower than my deductible...

Well with this car is either you replace the windshield, bent rims, or cracked front lip or whatever every year lol.

It depends what your deductible is.... If it's like mine ($500) they won't...

$100 deductible is crazy low. At least you have that going for you.

That is still crazy low insurance rate compared to me. I am paying 2 times what you are and I have a higher deductible.
