Question Poll: DIY Sub-forum

I notice that many posts in the 2is general forum ask about how to go about doing things, most of which have already had a DIY written for them.

I know that the FAQ has links to a lot of the DIYs, but not all of them.

My question is - Do you think it would be useful to have a sub-forum solely devoted to DIYs? I think it would alleviate a lot of the clutter of these types of threads. Even when doing a search for DIY, many of the results that come up are someone else asking about where to find the DIY.

I think it would be very useful. That way people don't have to do an extensive search and it would save people from typing "use the search button."

We keep our forum structure consistent across the different models, but we can quickly address your concern. Unfortunately the same folks who don't read the FAQ/DIY list most often won't look or post in a sub-forum as well (we've tried this in the past). We rely on our members (thanks) and moderators (also thanks) to point the newbies to the right spot or teach them how to search.

If you have additional DIYs threads to add to the FAQ, please PM your nominations to a moderator or me and we'll add them. Every few months we start a thread to solicit new posts and I'll go ahead and start one now for you and other members to add to it.
