Default price difference in countries

hey guys
im pretty new here and wanted to aska few Q's to u non-australians

here in aus a fully loaded IS250 Sports Luxury (nav, rear cam, ML stereo, radar cruise, 17" rims, wood interior) RRP Drive Away is $AU 84,000!!

a IS-F is $AU 136,000

ive heard from my cousins in LA that IS-F's, M3's, C63 go for around the $US 55,000 mark!!!!!!

is the price difference cuz of taxes here in australia? or something else??
if i live in america i could have got a used IS-F for the money i paid for my used 2007 IS250 Sports (26,000km's, ML, nav, alcantara)

how much did u guys pay for ur rides?? new or used (km's and options plz)
thanks i just wanna make some comparisons

www.edmunds.com will have all the pricing info you could want...

But a basic idea- A 250 will be around 30-35k with most common optioning, a 350 will be 35-40k with most common optioning, and an IS-F will be 50-60k most commonly...

there'll be some +/- a couple thousand variation for options, taxes, buying late in the year, etc... but that's a decent ballpark of what new ones sell for in the US (all prices in USD)

Luxury Car Tax of 33% over $57k. I used to live in Australia. It's not worth it to be a car enthusiast there when you see people in the US paying half as much for the same car or getting a 2x better car for the same money.

oh, 33%?
!@#*$

srsly, 33%, man thats just plain greedy

im srsly considering moving to america or korea, im gonna apply for unis in both countries, or i might stay in australia till i finish uni then move

it makes me sad that if i lived in america i cold be driving IS-F right now, and also my cousins tell me that their arent any stupid laws like in australia where u have to get learner license, provisional 1, provisional 2 licenses THEN a full license

and at 16 u can drive watever car u want, regardless of power or turbos or super chargers
i HAD to get the IS250 cuz in australia for me on my P1's the rules are:
no car over 200kw
no car with more than 6 cylinders
no turbos or superchargers

so that rules out a 350Z, 370Z, M3, IS350
so gay, australia needs to change its laws
just cuz we drive for longer doesnt mean we'll be safe drivers, send ppl on sfae driver training or something, dont make us have to wait 3+ years to get a full license

In canada the prices are about $10K more compared to the US. Which makes no sense since our dollar is on par now.

We bought my GFs subaru form the US and paid 23,000 brand new where in canada it would have been 35,000.
