where is the antenna wire located?
i've had issues with my GPS calibration in my navigation and i took my car to tommy@musicbox. he can't seem to find out whats wrong with it so i'm going to take my car to the dealer. he says the gps part of the head unit is located where the clock display is and is probably receiving signals through the sharkfin antenna.. does anyone know if the antenna wire runs along the roof of the car towards the head unit? or if it runs back to the trunk somewhere near the factory amp?? the reason why i am asking is because i have signals tapped into my factory amp's harness and i would prefer the dealer not seeing this
There shouldn't be any GPS wires running along your roof because both the GPS antenna and the navigation ECU are pretty much in the same location. The shark fin is for satellite radio reception.
