18x8.0 +30mm on the IS250 is consider very conservative. Usually we go with 18x8.5 or 18x9.0. +30mm is a good offset range for the IS250.
In regard to the BBK on IS350, need to know which wheel you getting and how the wheel are design. IS350 BBK required high pad wheels for clearance.

TOM'S wheels are 19x8.5 et45 and 19x9.5 et45. I don't think et48 will be flush in the sense that some guys run their wheels here, but it certainly will not look bad. You will be 13mm farther out in front and 15mm farther out in back compared to stock - depending on the look you want, this might make the front look pushed out more than the rear.

Another offset question...
I'm planning on getting some new wheels for my 06 IS350. I'm planning on dropping the car about 1.5" and getting some Forgestar F14 rims.
The specs are:
Front: 19x8.5 with offset 35 and tires 235/35/19
Rear: 19x10 with offset 35 and tires 275/30/19
Will this setup rub? I'm not 100% sure how to get the proper setup for a RWD car...
Thanks!

Thanks for all your help.
I just have one more question - I spoke to a rep for Forgestar and he said that the offset doesn't affect how concave the wheel is because its a one-piece design, is this true? From my understanding, it was the lower the offset the greater the concavity...

Offsets
Sup guys,
Quick question here from a nOOb.
Running a set of wider rims with an aggressive offset versus stock rims with agressive spacers, both sets close enough to be identical in offsets. Would they both put the same amount of load on the wheel bearings despite that the aftermarket rims are wider?

No. Wider puts more stress on the bearings.

Why is that? I was thinking the opposite.
I kind of drew something up in paint to visualize what I am seeing. Please correct me if I'm complete blind or off here. I would think the wider rim would provide more support to the wheel bearings since more surface area exists inside towards the axles. Again, please correct me if I am wrong here.
I see your reply but I just can't see the answer without any explanation.

You're not considering lateral loading. Put the vectors for lateral loading in the drawing and you'll see the wider rim will generate more force on the bearing than the narrower rim will.
From a radial load perspective they're the same, but radial load isn't what kills wheel bearings.

offset experts!!!!
Im gonna be buying some rims in a few weeks and they only offer 2 different offsets in the rim i want. they dont have the offset that i wanted.so i kinda have to work with what they got.
my choice was,
F19x8.5 +22 F235/35/19
R19x10 +36 R 265/30/19 or 245/35/19 (depending if i HAVE to stretch tires)
but they only offer,
19x8.5 +15 or +38
and
19x10 +20 or +43
im lowered on TEIN CS slammed all 4 corners.not THAT low tho. i want it to be flush but not all hardcore like all these guys that KNOW HOW to do it right.im new at the offset/flushness game so spare my noob question. but yeah if anyone can help, thanks! +15 sounds nice but might be a lil too low of and offset for me i dont really want to have to roll my fenders for these rims atleast.so let me kno if that would work or not.
