Just consider it totalled and get a New Car.
If you are like me.... I hate getting into wrecks and driving the car again, even after looking like it never happened... But you know the car still thinks about it at night, when that ******* didnt yield to me and hit my damn fender you s.o.b!!!!!!!!
oh, sorry.
anyways, yeah sux for it to happen, but you did everything you needed to do. in case things dont go well, you can always run over a kitten.

Definately sucks that ur car got damaged... I drive a big truck occasionally and a regular car obviously and so I see both side of this... people ALWAYS wanna be in front of the big truck and will do dumb stuff to accomplish including puttin there life and everyone elses harms way. I don't wanna be behind the big truck either but if there is no room then there is no room no need to cause traffic, possible damage to the car (nothins gonna happen to the truck), and waste time dealin with it if some accident happend and money if u have to pay deductible. I always thought that it was the merging lanes responsibilty to merge on to the freeway safely. You might have somethin since he didn't stop, but I'm thinkin if he did then it would be your fault... so GL

He'll have a hard time explaining that away and it hurts his case

uhm in confused about the merging. draw an ms paint showing what happened. single lane merge? what the hell does that mean. what part of the truck did you come in contact with? if you hit the trailer thats your fault.

to the OP:
sorry to hear what happened, but why were you dueling with an 18-wheeler tanker? this could've turned out a whole lot worse, so consider yourself fortunate the damage is what it is.
next time, just be polite and yield. better to do that for others so as to arrive to your destination safely than to drive like you own the road (from a false sense of entitlement) and put yourself at risk for this kind of damage - or worse.
another reminder to drive safely and share the road with others. don't let a false sense of entitlement cloud sound judgment...

Hit and run much? Should have follow the car, call the police and get a report.
Driver would have been fired and you get your revenge. But if you want to fight the guy, most driver carry weapon for protection.

Good to hear you did not get hurt but i have to say from your version of the story you are the fool here. You tried to beat him to the single lane merge and then when you did not make it you expected him to yeild to you for some reason? i see this all the time people cutting in front of trucks and somehow think that they have the right of way and the truck should always move aside fort them.
Now the interesting part you chase him around and then stop on the freeway putting all other drivers at risk just to satisfy you "e-ego? come-on man think about it!!
