HUGE decision. I need ya'lls advice!!

:uh: So I'm really thinking about doing a matte black wrap on my car. $2500 out the door. I really want to do it, but I want legit feedback before I make a final decision. Don't leave me hanging. I really appreciate all ya'lls imput in advance. Thanks! :uh:

Some may say matte black is a bit played out, but I still like it alot! I say you do it.
I believe member JDM NUB had it done a couple of years ago and it was beautiful/

do it & do it right! GL if u do decide to do it

Sytfu_IS Mar 7, 2010 12:15 AM

1. Matte black is played out
2. Looks like primer
3. Downgrade in color imo compared to our lexus oem colors

I wouldn't do it but I would do matte white or any other color but matte black. :)

Don't even go there.

jadu Mar 7, 2010 12:41 AM

dont do it

Each person has their opinion on it. I personally like it, it will definitely stand out.

fyi, it was johnnyboy's car, and iirc it was PAINTED matte black.

imo, most of it is personal opinion (whether you the OP likes it or not), while the other part is how well it is executed (whether it actually looks like quality job or a hack job).

if you like it, do it. reactions aside, it's your car, it's your call. just remember that there'll always be nay-sayers, haters, and people with negative criticism.

GiantsFan Mar 7, 2010 01:28 AM

If you get it done, it should be like Johnnyboy's car ... more of a satin-ish matte black ... it did NOT look like primer like some matte blacks out there...

gc86 Mar 7, 2010 01:42 AM

don't do it IMO

L-S-D Mar 7, 2010 01:43 AM

Imo .. I would not do it ... But that's jus personal preference ..

I've seen a few members on here who have tried to pull it off but it jus looks so damn ghetto...

However the ONLY car I've seen pull it off and make it look excellent is johnnyboys

jadu Mar 7, 2010 01:44 AM

If i remember correctly, wasn't removing the vinyl an issue as well?

knguyen Mar 7, 2010 01:54 AM

Matte black is sick no doubt. If you like it then you should do it, but how long is the stuff gonna last?

Boomin Mar 7, 2010 03:21 AM

Not for 2500, there robbin you imo

Rash Mar 7, 2010 03:40 AM

Do it if you like it, your car will look good. unlike most of the people in Dubai, Matte black on stock cars :egads:
