Honestly you should be fine with those sizes. I know Taka from Formula D runs a 195 tire on his 15x10s and has never had any problems and you know he drives his car HARD.

I am not saying its just as safe as a 245, 255, 265 but you get the point.

hahah, i have a vdub, and that stretch is normal. nothing to worry about except for a harsher ride. my buddy drove from ottawa(just north of new york state) to ocean city on 195's stretched on 9's.

his car...

and my own stretch, 215's on 8"

Ive worked for the Highway safety department for 5 years and Ive seen more dead bodies than anyone can imagine. Ive seen decapitated heads, faces through the windshield, people ejected out of cars, mangled bodies etc etc. Ive seen tires like these roll off the wheel because they were the wrong size. The coolness factor you think your getting from the overly stretched tires is a accident waiting to happen. Just plain stupid and ignorant and the bad thing is, that when you get into an accident, theres always the possibility that you end up taking someone else out as well. Just not cool bro.

am i the only one that thinks this looks just horrible? i mean the whole 'to each their own', but IMO this looks ugly as sin.

if you happy w/ it, then roll w/ it, but would NEVER do this to my ride

215 on an 8" isnt really stretched.???

take this car for example...running 19x9.5+28 225/35/19 and 19x10.5+29 245/35/19. thats more stretch than a 215 on an 8. looks just fine to me

Agreed!!! Ill go even further and say camber makes people rides look broken...

Correct size tire and no camber ftw! Example below:

Car belongs to fishnfool ... hope you dont mind me using your car as an example!

yeah, it looks great because the car is so slammed the fenders are covering the stretch...

....

i dunno man, i think i should just stop posting on this whole 'crazy nut job stretch' topic... it always turns out i get flamed and i'm in the minority.

i have one question to all those that say it 'looks sick!' - how many of you would actually truly do this to your car? ?

i bet 1 out of 10 - the others are forum-suck-up-tools.

ehhh looks ok. As long as your happy thats all that matters. Way too stretched for my liking though. Looks like the tire could just rip in half or slip off...

i wouldnt do it to my car, but i think it looks good on older show cars. my lexus doesnt have any stretch, and thats how i like it. my vw has mild stretch to clear fenders and stay flush. i dont promote it, but i dont hate on it. i like cars from JDM civics, to performance porsches.

That should solve most of your rubbing problems.
