Thanks Kslater i tried that.. i coudnt find the AFS option. So im really confused how can the car have the luxury package and not have the HIDs since they are included in the package is there a way for a guy to refuse them and get a discount thats prob what the previous owner did or somthing.

 

Nope. Headlight washers are standalone only. Not part of the Lux Pkg. However, when I got my car in 07, it was impossible in the north east to find a car with the Lux Pkg that didn't also have HW.

 

Quick Update just got of the phone with lexus customer care and provided the vin so they emailed me all the options that are installed in the car......... According to that HID with AFS is installed on the car.

Now the dillema does anyone have any theories as to why the AFS option is not showing up on the satellite switch? Does the car have to be running or going at a certain speed or the ignition has to be on and engine not running.


Sorry if i sound wierd its just i want to be sure the dealer didnt replace the lights or somthing because the car was in an accident and he is not telling me (Paranoia setting in ).......

 

Ok here are some pictures of my lights, can someone let me know what type of lights these are Halogen or HID. When you turn the lights on they do tilt down but Im not sure if they actually turn side to side so I dont know if I have AFS. Thanks CL!

 

Yes those are HID's, and if they tilt on that year, they have AFS. AFS is only active above certain speeds and with steering input. You wouldn't be able to see it happen while the car is stationary.

You have HID as per the pictures but if you don't have the AFS option in the satellite switch then maybe a issue with the AFS computer.


I have but I believe they were purchased from out of state. non-california cars

Thanks fellas, yea its HID and it has AFS. I consider myself still a noob compared to my buddies who work on cars all day everyday. And who actually worked on this car for me. Just got off the phone and they told me I do have AFS and HID's, then walked me through how to tell. Which comes to the real reason why I asked...No LED lights for me from SEWELL. Bummer!!!! But at least I keep $1800 or atleast until I have to buy more run flats. lol Thanks fellas great help.
