These installation instructions are for the FlyAudio system. Are you referring to a specific portion of the installation? There is no "On/Off" switch.

Got a couple of questions:

1. If I feed the mic wire to the upper console like OEM, can the wire be tucked all the way up the A-pillar and under the headliner? Or does the headliner need to be removed?

2. How do I remove the upper console?

3. How do I remove the rear seats?

Thanks.

Question on reverse camera install:

I don't need to use the "rear view camera power" wire for anything, right? (from the back of the HU)

As soon as the camera is switched on (by the reverse lights) it will automatically feed signal to the FlyAudio unit?

Evan, I sent you the signal wire just to make sure. FlyAudio says that the signal wire is only necessary on the Lexus model, but I am skeptical. You may need it, you may not.

The FlyAudio plugs and plays. There is nothing to drill. For the GPS antenna, it depends on where you want to mount it. Some mount it on the dashboard and you don't really have to remove anything. If you want to mount it in the rear window behind the passenger headrests, you have to remove side paneling, rear seat, seat belts, etc. It all depends on where you want to run the wiring.

We have installed them in both places for clients and I haven't heard any complaints about a lack of reception. If you are looking for ease of installation, on the dash is probably easier.

My installer (my buddy lol) just tucked it up the A-pillar and across the headliner into the dome light assembly. No need to remove any trim in between the dash and the dome light.

Wil is right, you don't need to remove the headliner. Luckily on the IS 250/350/F, you don't need to remove much. We installed a FlyAudio on a VW GTi a couple of days ago and the headliner was sealed off and there was no tucking it under.

What gauge wire do you suggest for the signal wire?
