Default Side Window Replacement

Some moron broke my passenger side front window to steal my $80 GPS unit. Fantastic. I did a search and found some discussion about windshields, but nothing about side windows.

How much will this cost me? Is it critical that I go the OEM route for the side window? Do the Safelite-type outfits have PPG glass for the side window? How much do they charge? I'm sure others have been through this...

well...safelite came out...cost me $235 for a PPG/PGW glass and $60 in labor. Lexus quoted me $360 for the OEM glass, plus labor.

The guy did a good job, but the amateur thieves bent the door frame a little...leaving some space between the glass and the door panel. I'll have to go to a body shop.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't think people still wanted to steal portable gps devices. They are so cheap these days and almost everyone has one. Hope everything works out.
