So Ive been looking through a few threads and have noticed that there are the open ended version and the REVO version? Is there a difference between the two? What are the caps?

Revo is so you dont get rust inside the lug nut bob, however the Revo are hard too find and much more expensive. Something like $250.

Regular R40

Revo

I havent had any rust issues with the mutekis for the 6 months that Ive had them so Im not too worried about that. Where can you get a set for $250? I was quoted ~$300 by a vendor

REVO neo chromes are around the $300 price range. Yoan prob is talking about the black chrome ones?

Anyways, i have the R26's (non extended) and they rusted inside. Plus the good thing about the REVO is you can change colors when you get bored of them!

Ohhh ok I got you. So you can remove the caps for an open ended look or put them on for a closed ended look?

Buy $35000 Lexus.. Use cheap $100 lugs... Lolol

But yes. I roll with Volk Formula Lugs. Expensive wheels deserve expensive lugs

So i don thave my lug nuts yet but... I see a lot of IS owners have Open ended lug nuts... i thought i remembered hearing that open ended lugs werent good to have because it allows water and dirt to get inside and would allow the stud to start rusting.... is this true?

I was also looking at getting red lugs since my IS is MRM, to those of you with colored lugs- how well are they holding up? I've seen some people complain about the color chipping off after 1 mount/unmount.

Ive had my open ended lugs for about 6 months now and i dont have any rust or color chipping.

Whenever I wash my car, I like to wrap a small screwdriver with a microfiber towel to clean the inside of the lugs
