has anyone encountered a 2IS cd changer malfunction?
i was talking with tommy@musicbox and he mentioned being careful with constantly swapping cd's with the factory cd changer because its been known to jam or get stuck. i know this issue is notorious in the factory head unit for 1IS's, but has anyone actually had this happen to them in their 2IS?

I've seen at least a handful of "cd stuck in player" reports... a few managed to get it out, a few got it replaced under warranty (like they had to replace the CD changer)... does seem as bad as the 1IS probs with it, but it still happens.

the reason why i am concerned is because i have the navigation hack, and if the cd ever gets stuck, i'm afraid the warranty would be void.

I still ocasionally enjoy a good cd or two, and ran into either the disc getting stuck in the unit or having to turn the unit off then on to get the disc to release from the changer. Needless to say I did have the changer swapped out under warranty at 35k and havent had anymore issues since. I did however notice that if I was using a cd with a smooth surface as opposed to a labeled surface that would also come into play of the disc not ejecting i.e. burnt music cd.
man if this was gunna happen, i wish it would happen before warrenty was up...knock on wood!
I had aftermarket DVD player and the dealer saw it and noted on the invoice but still replaced my jammed CD player free of cost. Ended up mailing me the jammed CD back to my house.
I had an issue happen once where it wouldn't even change to the next disc.
I took the mature approach and gave it a bang on the side of the panel and what do you know everything proceeded to work fine. Never had a problem after that.
Happened to me also with burned CD's. Mine never would eject. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced the changer. I don't even it use it now...I load everything onto my Ipod.
