Hehe, projectdna is like a moderator with all the right info. I'm pretty new to the forum and just went straight to the FAQ section. Learned a lot the first 2 days.

The first thing I got were matching 6000k HIDs for the lowbeam and foglights. Pretty cheap ($55 from HIDXTRAS in the Vendors Classifieds) and definitely changes the look of your car at night. And lookup Parking Lights if choose to do this.

I was never a fan of wheels and all before joining CL, but after looking at all the great photo shoots, I noticed the first thing my eyes lock on to are the beautiful wheels many CL members have on. So I got myself a set of wheels. Expensive? Yes, but will definitely give you the wow factor. I still haven't even bought tires for my new wheels yet! I also went the inexpensive route and opted for springs.

But all depends on what you want with your car. My IS250 is DD so I've been trying to resist putting in performance parts that would lower my mpg. If you want to go fast, I'd suggest going the intake, exhaust, headers route (in whichever order you please).

Oh, and many members go for the Redouts on their taillights, but so far I'm liking the orange on my 09 lights.

Intake, header and exhaust will get you nowhere. Aftermarket performance on these cars suck......get coils and nice wheels. Cruise and be a hard parker.

I agree with that, notice most of my post is on visual upgrades. but, anyways, he said he wanted to go faster... maybe just fast enough to beat out other IS250s or 200hp cars? So I gave the typical performance mods. That may give him a good 40hp gain? <- very rough estimate, can't remember numbers from other threads.

.

I liked it the orange at first too when I just got the car, but after seeing the orange when it's really sunny, I had to go redouts. Also, when it lights up at night, the different colours doesn't look right

Only bad thing is it's pretty tough to align the redouts on the '09s since there's nothing to line up the redouts with...more like guessing.

on a cold winter day, doubtful on a hot summer day... mods for our cars are for 'show' not 'go', intake should be last on the mod list AFTER tint/drop/rims/exhaust/kit/JP int. stuffs.

check the CL vendors section. many CL vendors can give you pricing for what you're looking for.

you get what you pay for.

as an alternative, you can check the wheels and tires classified section.

seeing as to how you are new to the forums, i recommend that you take some time to familiarize yourself with the forums, starting with the 2is FAQ and DIY thread:

again, welcome to CL and the 2is owners' section.
